Here's a look into who Danielle is and more about her role at Stingray!

1. What's your role at Stingray Advisory Group?

I am a Financial Administrator at Stingray Advisory Group, specializing in comprehensive bookkeeping tasks and programs. My role involves a variety of short-term and long-term projects, from daily bookkeeping tasks to extensive financial clean-ups, ensuring that businesses maintain accurate and up-to-date records. I love being part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to helping other small businesses. We help them understand their numbers with confidence so they're able to make informed plans for the future.

2. What inspired you to pursue this career?

The highlight of my career is the joy I find in helping people through my work. I love to work with numbers, spreadsheets and organization tools. I plan to continue learning more about accounting and accounting programs. My goal is to keep empowering people and businesses to understand their numbers, enabling them to make well-informed decisions.

3. What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification. Although I have a degree in Education and spent several years as a teacher, it was never quite the right fit. I took a leap of faith a few years ago and accepted a bookkeeping position with very little education in accounting and no prior experience. Through determination, I taught myself bookkeeping throughout that position and received the Pro Advisor Certification, reassuring me that I was on the right path. At Stingray Advisory Group, there's a strong emphasis on continuing education, and I am looking forward to expanding my accounting knowledge with their support.

4. What's your best advice for someone who is just starting their professional journey?

Mark Twain once said, "Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life." It took me many years to really figure out what I enjoy doing, but once I did, and found a job that aligned with it, it really doesn't feel like work anymore. Don't give up, continue to explore your interests, and do what you love!

5. What other insights could you share about yourself?

One of my more unique hobbies is creating budgets. I have played around with budgets for many years; from starting with just a pen and paper, I've progressed to multicolored, elaborate, auto-calculating spreadsheets. As a busy mom, my spreadsheet budgets allow me to stay organized and informed without spending a lot of time each month creating them.
