1. What's your role at Stingray Advisory Group?
As the Project Coordinator at Stingray Advisory Group, I specialize in the project management and marketing spaces. My day-to-day involves facilitating projects and directly engaging with clients. Additionally, as a marketing specialist, I provide customized strategies to improve our client's marketing efforts and enhance their online visibility. I enjoy being part of our team, learning and growing professionally alongside everyone, while helping small business owners achieve their goals. Work naturally motivates me because whenever I encounter any challenges, I feel empowered to utilize my problem-solving skills to achieve positive outcomes.
2. What inspired you to pursue this career?
I was inspired by Stingray Advisory Group's mission to empower small business owners and support them with personalized solutions. I value professional development and I've been fortunate to have learned a great deal during my time on this team and I've enjoyed expanding my skillset with marketing and business coaching capabilities. I believe in the importance of relationship-building and it is my personal mission to make a positive impact in my community. Our team's mission aligns with this as well, so it's been a great fit for me.
3. What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the work I've accomplished and the knowledge I've gained throughout the course of the MEDC Optimize Main Street grant program. This program served 291 small business owners between 2022 - 2024. It was a genuine pleasure to work with these businesses and assist them in meeting their technology goals. Each of these business owners have a passionate vision and make a positive impact in their local community. I feel grateful to have worked alongside them to help enhance their use of technology and streamline operations.
4. What's your best advice for someone who is just starting their professional journey?
I think the best advice I could give to someone starting out is to believe in yourself. I think imposter syndrome is a huge phenomenon these days and it's often easy to doubt our abilities. Confidence is key and you should be your own biggest supporter and advocate. I'd say believe in yourself and your skillset because you are capable of accomplishing great things!
5. What other insights could you share about yourself?
I enjoy spending time with friends and actively supporting local small businesses and nonprofit organizations. I also like to spend my free time practicing yoga, cooking and reading. I love to read a wide variety of books! I tend to gravitate toward books in the memoir, history, fantasy, psychology and personal growth genres. One book I would recommend is Atlas of the Heart by Brené Brown, which is also available as an audiobook read by the author. This book offers an insightful exploration of the emotions we experience, how to understand and navigate them ourselves and within our relationships. A cause that I am very passionate about is finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease. I have seen Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia impact loved ones and other connections in my life and my heart goes out to those living with or caring for someone living with Alzheimer's. I volunteer at a memory care community and I'm determined to make a difference however I can.
