Today is Data Privacy Day, a day that began in the United States and Canada as an extension of the Data Protection Day celebration in Europe. The celebration commemorates the Jan. 28, 1981, signing of the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection.


The world is becoming more digital and this includes how and where we manage data. Businesses are doing away with filing cabinets and utilizing more cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
