Lisset, our Executive Assistant and Community Relations Representative plays a vital role in keeping the team running smoothly while helping us build stronger connections with the community. Her unique blend of creativity, organization and dedication has a meaningful impact on our success every day.
Here's a deeper dive into who Lisset is at Stingray!
1. What's your role at Stingray Advisory Group?
I'm the Executive Assistant and Community Relations Representative here at Stingray Advisory Group. I've been with the team since October 2017, and it's been such a rewarding and dynamic journey - one that's been constantly evolving for me.
What I love most about working here is how my role blends so many of my passions together. I get to use my skills in administration alongside my background in sales, marketing and graphic design, which gives me the opportunity to really contribute to the success of the organization. I enjoy managing communication both internally and externally, finding new ways to connect with our different audiences. My marketing background also supports my administrative work, allowing me to come up with strategies to engage with the community and enhance our team's visibility.
2. What would you like to share about your own professional journey?
When I think about my journey, I'm most proud of how my career has evolved. Over the years, I've been able to combine my skills in a way that allows me to express my creativity and make a meaningful impact on the community.
An aspect of this is working my creativity through graphic design and social media management. While it can be challenging to maintain with trends and stay authentic, I always remember the goal of our organization is to connect with small businesses and help them thrive. This gives me motivation and keeps me focused, allowing me to create content that resonates with them and benefits their business.
I'm always looking for ways to improve, and one of my main goals is to become more proficient in social media management as well as diving deeper into social media analytics. There is always something new to learn, which keeps things exciting!
3. What's an accomplishment you're most proud of?
One accomplishment I am most proud of is finding a work-life balance that works for me. It wasn't easy at first, but I took the time to reevaluate my priorities and set clear boundaries - both at work and in my personal life.
This has allowed me to not only be more productive at work but also make time for hobbies and quality moments with the people I love. This balance has made a huge difference in my overall well-being and mental health. I'm more motivated at work and feel empowered in my creative ability as well. It feels incredibly satisfying knowing that I can succeed at work while enjoying a fulfilling life outside of the office.
4. What advice you'd like to share with someone who's just starting their professional journey?
My advice would be to stay true to yourself - your authentic self. It's easy to try to fit into a mold, but when you surround yourself with people who appreciate the real you, it creates a safe space for you to be vulnerable.
Living authentically not only brings personal happiness but also inspires those around you. Stay true to your beliefs and passions because that's what will allow your confidence to shine through. Be yourself!
5. What other insights would you like to share?
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and family. We've been working on creating new family traditions with my siblings, nieces and nephews which is honestly just the core of what I love most.
Whether it's fishing, camping, kayaking or simply being out in nature, these activities help me stay grounded and appreciate the things that truly matter to me. They recharge me and serve as a reminder to stay connected to what is most important!
